Our Lady's Nursing Home

The refurbishment of and construction of an extension to the existing ‘Our Lady’s Residential Nursing Home’, on a restricted and sloping site, within a residential area of Belfast.

The project comprised the construction of a 2500m² extension to an existing nursing home on a restricted sloping site within a residential area in Belfast.

The extension was over three levels and was built on a sloping site, including internal courtyards and comprising some 30 en-suite single bedrooms, office accommodation, kitchens, stores, communal/social areas and ancillary accommodation.

The extension comprised an in-situ concrete frame with brick and block work cladding and a cut timber roof with slate covering. Internal walls are built in block work and smooth plastered with timber doors and trimmings.

The works also included the complete mechanical and electrical package, including passenger lifts and extensive site and ground works.

The refurbishment of the existing building now allows for 86 bed spaces within the home.
